Education 40 Years Later

Grades

I received this cartoon from my Sister-in-Law in Spain. The first drawing shows parents with their child in 1969. They are scolding their child asking, "What kind of grades are these?" Notice the child has his head down and the teacher sits silently with the backing of the parents.

Fast forward to 2009. The parents are now scolding the teacher demanding to know, "What kind of grades are these?" The teacher cowers in fear of the parents and the boy, wearing his number 1 shirt, is smiling, secure in the knowledge that he can do no wrong.

Aren't government schools great?

A New U.S. Civil War?

Will the U.S. economic crisis lead to the breakup of the United States in 2010? Russian Igor Panarin says he believe it will. Panarin believes the United States will split into six regions.

Below, Panarin comments on steps that Obama should scale back U.S. foreign policy commitments to prevent the impending collapse. Interestingly, it appears Obama is doing many of the things Panarin suggests.

Panarin did work for the KGB, so you may want to take what he says with a grain of salt. However, given the current economic crisis, our government's continued unnecessary economic intervention, and the increasing divide between the will of the people and their elected leaders, Panarin's scenario may not be as far fetched as it appears.

It's not only Democrats that are the problem with regards to health care reform and the growth of government. Republicans have also participated, and are still participating in expanding our big, oppressive, unconstitutional government.

See the video below and be sure to tell Republicans you don't want them to compromise on health care reform.

Twitter Direct Messages

Twitter Direct Messages are the bane of my existence. On occasion, the DMs are useful, but most of the time they are a complete waste of time. I wish Twitter would give the option of turning Direct Messages off.

I Love It When Windows Doesn’t Work

I love it when Windows OS does not work properly. Have been trying to do a few simple tasks on my PC, but Windows XP (yes, I know I tried Vista, but refused to pay for it and rolled back to XP) is locked up. Looks like I will have to shut off my computer and restart.
